Hello! My name is Christin Lê and I'm a student at Johns Hopkins from Orange County. In light of this pandemic, I'm hoping to support doctors on the frontlines through my love of baking!
With many of us staying home, I wanted to find a way to connect with my friends and family while still social distancing. Keeping this in mind, I would bake banana bread and deliver it to their homes. It quickly turned into a daily hobby in which my family and friends would encourage me to start a bakery time after time. From the immense amount of support and encouragement I received, I decided to expand my hobby and give it a mission.
Lê Crumb Bakery launched with the goal of supporting Doctors Without Borders as I envisioned this opportunity for me to join my small hobby that connected me with my friends and family with a cause that would provide aid in all corners of the globe. So for every purchase, 20% of it will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical organization that provides medical aid in over 70 countries!
This start-up bakery has encouraged me to reach out to my community and actively seek ways in which I can motivate others to help those working on the frontlines while staying at home, maintaining social distancing guidelines, and following all safety precautions. Lê Crumb Bakery gives me hope and inspiration with every supportive act from my community, so I hope this summer project of mine continues to grow and expand into a business that will exist beyond this summer and this pandemic.
